 About the NSW OTA….

The NSW OTA is YOUR state professional organisation with over 1200 members and we continue to grow.

The association was formed in 1957 and represents the interests of perioperative nurses in NSW & ACT. We

 encourage all members to play an active role in the development of perioperative nursing practice.

 

We have seven regional Zones which enables us to support perioperative nurses in the rural / remote areas of NSW and  ACT.

 

Regular professional education sessions and meetings are held in Sydney and in the Zones.

A conferences is held each year and provides an interesting and fun way of learning more about perioperative nursing.

 

What are the benefits of being a member?

 Who is Eligible for Membership of the NSW OTA?

 

Membership of the NSW Operating Theatre Association (NSWOTA) is divided  into two categories of membership.

 

Full Members

Any nurse (includes enrolled nurses and student nurses) who is actively engaged in operating room nursing (including  anaesthetics, operating room and recovery room) in NSW and ACT.

 

Associate Members

Nurses not actively engaged in operating room nursing

Nurses employed in operating rooms in other states and countries

NB:Associate members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to receive travel grants.

 

Membership fees

Current membership fees are as follows:

Full members: $100 (1 year) or $276.00 (3 Years)

Associate members: $49.50 (1 year)

 

All membership fees quoted above include GST.

 

When you join you will receive will receive a laminated membership card with your name, membership number and how long you have been a member.

 

On your card the month identified as "member since" is the month when your membership renewal is due.

Renewing membership or changing address?

Please remember when you move house to notify the NSW OTA so that you can continue to

receive your newsletter, ACORN Journal, conference information etc.
